After attending an exhibition Jane Austen wrote to her sister that she had found a portrait of Mrs Bingley’s:

I love the Bennett house! Someday I would like to have a room like Lizzy and Jane's :) I just wish I knew more about the homes of that era. I love te carved wood furniture and the needlepoint pillows on te couch.
