“In the morning, Jane would get up early and she´d go and practise the piano. Then probably she´d be writing after breakfast. Writing secretly at her tiny little table in the dining room. They had a door that used to creak, so she could hear if anybody came in. She didn´t want anybody to know that she was writing. That wasn´t because she thought it was a disgrace to be writing. It was because she valued her privacy and didn´t want people interrupting her, saying: `why are you doing this?´, wich would be so tedious.”
