Original script. Lizzy comes home with Darcy after the second proposal. Everyone is stunned.
And it´s having that formal structure, especially the dance. Playing the little moments in between two people in that formal structure. As opposed to coming up to someone and going: I fancy you, here is my number”.

“The studio gave me a personal trainer. Which is sort of fair enough because you don’t want a flabby Darcy. But it was quite a shock. As soon as I wasn’t in a scene, I’d be taken running round the park. And I was put on a low-fat diet. Every morning, this black cool-box would arrive with everything I was allowed to eat for the day. It was reassuring to find that I could get in shape quickly if I needed to, but it made you think about what women go through in this business.”
Mr. Darcy: I knew nobody beyond my own party.
Lizzy: Oh, and nobody can be introduced at a ball.
And Lizzy wins another round.
(I love how embarrassed Darcy is and the way Col. Fitzwilliam looks at him).
